Two elderly brothers were apparently killed by an 800-pound bull on their farm in northeast Iowa. 84-year old Daniel and 79-year old Ferdinand Mohring were found on their farm by another brother, Carl Mohring. Karl Mohring became concerned when his brothers failed to visit him in the hospital. He was recovering from injuries inflicted by the same bull. Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Deputy Jerry Mishak investigated the accident. He says both brothers were lying against the east side of the barn. He believes one got in trouble with the bull and the other jumped in to help him. The two brothers had been dead for more than a day. Deputies shot and killed the bull.
