The 17th-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes return to Big Ten action tonight at home against Minnesota. The Hawks won the first matchup a week ago in the Twin Cities. Iowa coach Steve Alford says the quick turn-around can be dangerous because the Hawkeyes won the first go-round. He says it’s more difficult for a player to be in the proper mindset after first beating a team on the road. The Gophers will be without starting forward Michael Bauer who suffered a broken arm in Saturday’s loss at Purdue. He says the injury forces Minnesota to shuffle around some players and play a little differently. After tonight, the Hawkeyes will have a week off.
