The Iowa State baseball team looks to claim a spot in the Big-12 post season tournament when the Cyclones open a three-game series against Nebraska this afternoon. Eight teams make the tournament field and the Cyclones need a combination of three, either I-S-U wins or Missouri losses to claim the spot. Iowa State coach Lyle Smith, says the Cyclones need to worry only about Nebraska and win as many games as they can.Smith says the Cyclones control their own destiny and he doesn’t want to get in a position where they lose two and really are under the gun to win the remaining game to get into the tournament.
