Fans of the new film “A Knight’s Tale” might get a charge out of attending the Salisbury Faire in Des Moines this weekend. The family renaissance festival features jugglers, magicians, royalty and wandering trolls, in addition to knights jousting on horseback.Ann Pross is associate director of the Salisbury House Foundation which sponsors the Faire. She says there are all sorts of medieval wares on display, from swords to ceramics.Pross says there are 85 booths and tents set up providing demonstrations of crafts, arts and entertainment from renaissance music to historic combat.The Festival is underway from 10 to 7 today and from 10 to 6 tomorrow at Water Works Park in Des Moines. The event benefits the Salisbury House in Des Moines, a 42-room mansion from the 1920s which contains a collection of art, tapestries, books and furnishings dating to the 16th century.
