An animal rights group’s effort to erect a billboard linking meat consumption to impotence in men has fallen flat. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals planned to put up the billboard in Des Moines in a protest of the “World Pork Expo.” The Expo was cancelled, but PETA spokesman Bruce Friedrich says they still plan to use the billboard until the billboard company said no. The billboard would’ve contained a scantily clad woman with a reference to pork and impotence.Friederich says PETA’s just trying to get its message out that meat is harmful.PETA’s done several stunts in Des Moines in the past few years, most included scantily clad women speaking out against cruelty to animals.
