The West Union woman who was trapped in her wrecked car along Interstate 35 for five days is now home from the hospital.18-year-old Lindsay Thomas had been at the University Hospitals in Iowa City since April 30th, the day she was found by a D-O-T road crew. Thomas fell asleep at the wheel of her car while on the way from Clive to Waverly for a job on April 25th. Her injuries forced doctors to amputate both of her legs below the knew. Thomas was able to attend her graduation at North Fayette High School last weekend, but then returned to the hospital. Doctors gave her the okay to go home yesterday.
