An Oelwein doctor who had his license suspended for writing false prescriptions has pleaded guilty to criminal charges. 46-year-old Steven Cook pled guilty to four charges of prohibited acts in Fayette County District Court. He was given a deferred judgement and put on five years probation. Cook was accused of writing prescriptions for Ritalin for himself, family members and others. He was arrested in January and his license was suspended last month.
