Senator Charles Grassley co-hosts a hearing this week to talk about tax incentives for farmers who do things like restore wetlands, plant buffer strips or make some move to conserve the land.Grassley says Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation President Mark Ackelson will testify.Grassley says several goals are achieved by having tax laws encourage farmers to conserve, protecting private property, environmental benefits and the public use of the land for recreation and study.Grassley and the rest of the Senate Finance Committee will host the hearing on Thursday.
