A former University of Iowa dental school student accused of making terrorist threats is scheduled to be in court today. 24-year-old Tarsha Claiborne, who is black, is accused of sending racist threats to her black classmates via e-mail in April of 2000. She’s charged with trespassing and violation of individual rights. Claiborne also faces a count of reckless use of fire for allegedly burning a coat left in a dental lab. Claiborne earlier plead guilty to possession of marijuana. She is set to appear in court at 2:30 this afternoon. Claiborne has been living with her mother in Louisiana.
