A man who flew planes out of Oskaloosa’s airport is under investigation for not being a certified pilot.Twenty-four-year-old Shawn Miller told Oskaloosa airport officials he was an F-16 pilot for the Air Force. The F-B-I called the Mahaska County Sheriff and asked him to interview Miller. Miller told deputies he had only 15 to 20 hours of flight training, which is not enough for a pilot’s license. He also admitted he had taken up to eight flights with passengers, but Oskaloosa airport records only confirm five. Miller’s last known address was Fairfield and he’s expected to be questioned by the F-B-I this week.
