University of Iowa assistant coach Corbin Stone has been named the head coach for the new women’s soccer program at Drake University. Stone is a native of Iowa City and spent this past season on the Hawkeye staff after several years at the club level.Stone feels his background will help in a brand new program and he’s also been involved with some club teams.Stone says his recruiting base will begin in Iowa where he says the 2002-2003 recruiting class includes some of the best players in the state.Stone says as high school soccer continues to grow that will help the college programs. Drake will begin competition in the fall of 2002.
