About three weeks after installing new electronic ticket terminals, the Iowa Lottery says most of the major glitches in the system have been ironed out. Lottery spokesperson Mary Neubauer says everything has run pretty well the past week.Neubauer says most Lottery players seemed to understand the problems. She says it doesn’t appear they lost much money from machines that were down. The contract with the supplier of the new machines has a clause that protects the Lottery against such glitches. The next big test for the machines will come when thousands of tickets a minute are being sold for a huge jackpot. The new equipment is designed to print tickets faster in those type of situations. The new machines were installed at the beginning of the month as part of a 47-million dollar upgrade. There are about 27-hundred lottery outlets statewide.
