The opening night of the state softball tournament in Fort Dodge featured play in class 1A and the second longest game in tournament history.A squeeze bunt by Jaci Morris in the bottom of the 15th inning drove in the winning run as 16th ranked Conrad B-C-L-U-W edged eighth-ranked Edgewood-Colesburg 3-2.Fourth ranked Missouri Valley scored two runs in the top of the first enroute to a 3-1 victory over 11th ranked Rockwell City-Lytton. Becky O’Rourke and Abbe Strobel clubbed back to back homers as 6th ranked Sigourney downed Pocahontas Area 6-3 and third-ranked Colfax Mingo blanked Southeast Warren 2-0.In 2A, top ranked Clear Creek Amana edged Davenport Assumption 4-3.
