Des Moines police made an unusual prostitution arrest last night. Officers from the vice unit arrested 15-year-old Amanda Hayner, a runaway from Des Moines, for prostitution and giving false information. They also arrested 22-year-old Mark Holiday of Des Moines on two felony counts of pandering and sexual exploitation of a minor. Sergeant Bruce Elrod says a prostitution arrest of someone this young is rare. He says it’s more unusual to arrest the person who talked the woman into prostitution.Elrod says they’re not sure how Hayner and the girl met.
