Central College ready to reload its football team

After losing 26-seniors from a team that won 12-games most college football programs would be looking at a rebuilding year. That’s not the case at Central College where the Dutchmen have become accustomed to competing for and winning Iowa Conference titles. Central coach Rich Kacmarynski says he has 26 juniors who can help if they mature. He says they tell the younger players they can improve by bidding their time and working hard against the older players. Two-year starter Scott Korselman at quarterback has graduated and Kacmarynski says finding his replacement has been a focus during pre-season drills. He says seniors Andy Goose and Jeff Borgman are the frontrunners at this point. Kacmarynski says the offensive line will need to mature, quickly with the loss of four starters.Central opens the season at home September eighth with a non-conference game against Wisconsin-River Falls.
