The state auditor will re-audit the records of the Central City Community School District after a petition from some 130 residents questioned the use and management of funds. The re-audit will focus on the 1999-2000 school year during which residents grew concerned over finances for a physical plant, an equipment levy, an activities fund and funds raised by students. The superintendent, David Hoyt, resigned at the end of the 2000-2001 year amid allegations of wrongdoing, but Hoyt and district officials deny his quitting had anything to do with the petitioners’ concerns
