Officials in Cedar Rapids are at odds over the future of the town’s only inner-city grocery store. Hy-Vee says it needs 3.6 million to renovate the store. One proposal asks the city to kick in 25 percent of the cost. Cedar Rapids finance commissioner Lyle Hansen has doubts about the proposal.Mayor Lee Clancy says the community needs the store. A hearing on the issue is set September 5th.
