Organizers of a program that monitors Iowa’s wildlife are looking to expand. Jason O’Brien runs the “Nature Mapping” program for Iowa State University’s Extension department. He says the goal is to collect a record on all Iowa wildlife. O’Brien says the information is important in keeping track of wildlife. He says changes in wildlife populations can give a good indication as to what’s happening in the state. He says anyone can help with the project and I-S-U will provide the training. For more information, call O’Brien at 515-294-6440, or surf to www.naturemapping.state.ia.us.
