University of Iowa officials are hoping for a late run on tickets for Saturday’s season opener against Kent State. Ticket manager David Sandstrum is hoping the crowd will reach 50-thousand by Saturday and says Labor day weekend and an unknown opponent may be hurting sales.Sandstrum says they are hoping for a large walk-up sale to boost the numbers, something that happened during last year’s home opener. He says good weather would help.Sandstrum says there will be plenty of opportunities for fans to purchase tickets on game-day.
