The Iowa State Cyclones are in game week preparations for their opener this Saturday night at home against Northern Iowa. Coach Dan McCarney says the Cyclones are ready for a game. He says it’s been a long haul getting ready for the game. McCarney says UNI’s two victories over ISU in the past are evidence that the Cyclones have to treat them with respect. McCarney says a young defense has scrimmaged against the first team offense a lot during pre-season and is ready for game action. He says they’ve made improvement, but now need to play a game so they can be tested.
