Scott County voters will go to the polls October 23rd to vote on whether the county should sell just over five-million dollars in bonds for the Davenport “River Renaissance” project. The proposal must pass with a super-majority of 60 percent. The fate of 20-million dollars in state “Vision Iowa” funding is resting on the referendum. State officials say they’ll withdraw the money if the vote for the local money fails.
