Last week’s attack on the United States has had an impact on college football and just more than the postponement of all division-one games this past weekend. Iowa State coach Dan McCarney says it has also had an affect on the Cyclone coaching staff.Two former players of Cyclone assistant head coach Nick Quartaro are listed as among the missing at the world trade center. Quartaro was the head coach at Fordham University prior to taking the job at Iowa State.McCarney says it has been a difficult situation for Quartaro.Quartaro previously was the head coach at Drake and played collegiately at Iowa. The attack was the primary topic on today’s Big-12 teleconference and Kansas State coach Bill Snyder says their athletic department was affected as a person on their support staff had someone he knew missing for a time.
