After 16 years in office, a county official in northwestern Iowa has been removed from his post — in a cloud of mystery. Plymouth County Clerk of District Court Richard Kenyon was escorted from his office by the county sheriff late Friday afternoon. He was allowed to remove some personal belongings, then turned over his keys to the office. Officials have not yet said why Kenyon was relieved of his duties. He was first elected in 1984.
