Hundreds of Iowa firefighters will be gathering in Coralville later this month — and it won’t be to fight a fire. The death of hundreds of would-be rescuers in last Tuesday’s terrorist attacks in New York has touched people around the world, including the Iowa Fireman’s Association. It plans a public memorial service to honor the fallen firefighters and police officers on September 30th at 2 p-m at the Iowa Firefighters Memorial in Coralville, just north of Interstate-80.
