Southwest Iowans are invited to a Thursday night vigil to remember the victims and families of last week’s tragedy in Washington D-C and at the World Trade Center.Union County Emergency Medical Services Director Randy Crum says the vigil came up because there were so many people asking what they could do.It’s aimed at being a way all the communities in the region can come together. Crum says the Red Cross and Salvation Army, state of Iowa Medical Services, local ministerial alliance, and the Mayor of Creston have been invited to take part. He says people want to show their support.The vigil Thursday at seven will be at Southwestern Community College in Creston.
