Iowa’s U-S Attorneys are going to be a part of the war on terrorism in America.Even before President Bush announced the new Office of Homeland Security, Iowa’s two U-S Attorneys were ordered to put together a task force on terrorism. Inga Bumbary-Langston is the interim U-S Attorney for Iowa’s southern district. She says each state is forming a task force at the direction of U-S Attorney General John Ashcroft.Bumbary-Langston says the task force will serve as a conduit for local and state law enforcement officials in fighting terrorism. Bumbary-Langston says they must also come up with a plan to prevent terrorism.She says the task force has a big task ahead, but says they’ll be able to handle the job with the help of federal officials..
