Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack is pushing for the creation of a tax credit for college grads who stay in the state.Vilsack announced his plan at a business conference today in Des Moines, but offered few details on how it would work.Vilsack says he’ll release more details in a couple of weeks, but says it will cover a substantial portion of the tuition at a public or private university or community college. Vilsack says the tax credit would help offset the rising cost of tuition, and create a better workforce.Vilsack says the program would apply to any graduate from an Iowa college or university, even out-of-state students.
