The man accused of seven murders in Sioux City has pleaded guilty to seven counts of first-degree murder. The body of 58-year-old Ronald Fish was found in the entryway to his home August 30th. A short time later the bodies of 31-year-old Leticia Aguilar and her five children were found. A manhunt ended the next day when 23-year-old Adam Moss was taken into custody at around 11:30 a-m. Woodbury County Attorney Tom Mullen says Moss admitted to the killings Tuesday just after one o’clock.Mullen says Moss was then sentenced to seven consecutive counts of life without parole. Mullen said after the sentencing Tuesday that prosecutors suspected Moss might plead guilty, but didn’t know for sure until he made his statement in court.Sioux City was gripped with fear during the hunt for Moss. Mullen says the plea frees the city from having to relive the brutal details of the killings. He says he’s relieved for both the families of the victims and the community that they won’t have to go through a long trial.Police had described the murder scene as one of the most grisly they’d ever scene. Mullen says the reason for the killings may never be known, as Moss did not mention a motive.Moss had been Aguilar’s boyfriend and had worked for Fish.
