This is the week to have lunch with your kid at school. It’s “National School Lunch Week.” Candy Anderson is the Food Services Director for the South Hamilton School District located in Jewel.
She says this year’s theme is “School Lunch by the Book.” Anderson says she’s worked with the school’s media center to come up with menu choices.
She says the rest of the week features menu items based on nursery rhymes or books.
They’re making things like “Simple Simon Pie” and “Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul.” Schools across the state are participating in the event.
