Should the U-S and Iowa crack down on things we do to avoid the chance of being targeted by terrorists? State veterinarian Russ Currier says it might be a good idea to call off gatherings, especially if they involve our food supply…animals.
He says things like fairs, where there are animals and someone could walk through and infect lots of them. Dr Currier says you might as well not even bother buying gear to protect against biochemical attack.
He says you shouldn’t buy chemical protection, gas masks, and other gear that won’t do much but make you feel good. Currier says fighting an attack that’s hard to anticipate may involve what some see as a loss of freedom through more use of cameras and fingerprinting.
Currier says one person sick with a bad disease like Ebola wandering in a public place could be the next weapon in the war.
