The Iowa State Cyclones will take a 5-1 mark on the road to play 24th ranked Texas A and M this weekend. The Cyclones dominated both sides of the football, rushing for 285-yards and giving up just 42 on the ground in a 28-14 victory over Oklahoma State. Cyclone coach Dan McCarney was pleased with the effort.
It was a big day for running back Ennis Haywood who piled up 196 yards . McCarney says Haywood is a special back, especially when they need to take time off the clock.
McCarney was disappointed in the number of penalties, especially on offense. He says they’ll work to correct those mistakes.
Quarterback Seneca Wallace says the Cyclones are better prepared to play a ranked team on the road than they were before the game at Nebraska.
