An eastern Iowa community is trying to ready itself for any backlash from the September 11th attacks.
Scott County medical director, Dr. Louis Katz, says he’s working to keep all Davenport-area physicians up-to-date on the latest bioterrorist threats.
All doctors are being provided with descriptions of symptoms for everything from anthrax to the plague to smallpox. Dr. Katz is urging all local clinicians to stay in close communication with his office if something unusual crops up.
When people ask Katz how to stay safe, he says to wash your hands and wear your seatbelt.
