Burgler in the Buff arrested in Linn County

A bare burglar has been busted in Cedar Rapids.Randy Perkins didn’t have a good answer when asked by Linn County Sheriff’s deputies why he’d been breaking into houses, naked. The 19-year-old Mt. Vernon man was apprehended, sans clothing, on the porch of a Cedar Rapids home this past weekend. He’s charged with three counts of second-degree burglary. Officials say Perkins took some beer from one house, some prescription meds from another. Perkins told police he broke into the third house to get warm. After a fully-clothed court appearance, he was released.
