A series of public meetings begins this week to discuss the state’s Resource Enhancement and Protection program. Coordinator Kevin Szcodronski says the meetings are an important part of the program commonly referred to as “REAP.” He says they allow everyone the chance to give their input on the various projects. The meetings are also important because five people are selected at each meeting to attend the “REAP Congress.”The REAP Congress will eventually help decide which programs will move forward. Szcodronski says the REAP program has an annual budget of around 11-million dollars.
