Iowa lost at Wisconsin last night, 64-56. Iowa’s record now stands at 15 and 13 — with just four wins and 10 losses in the Big Ten. The Hawkeyes were plagued by 18 turn-overs and shot only 40 percent from the foul line. After the game, coach Steve Alford was surprisingly upbeat about the Hawkeyes’ effort. He says he liked the passion and effort the team gave, but he says because of the issues they have, they’re kind of snakebite.Luke Recker scored 13 points. Reggie Evans added a dozen points and pulled down a dozen rebounds. Evans was benched to start the game as punishment for skipping class. He says he has to thank the University for being so concerned about him coming to class. Evans says he’ll stay as positive as possible. He says it doesn’t do any good to pout or moan.Evans says he wants to finish his senior season with a final home win and a good stand in the Big Ten tourney. He says hopefully they’ll get something to click and start winning.
