Just before he left Des Moines, President Bush met privately with the family of an Iowa man who was buried today. Luke Roth, who died of cancer Tuesday, was Bush’s Iowa Campaign Manager in 2000, and the President met privately with Roth’s wife, Katie, and other members of the family for about 10 minutes to offer his condolences in person. A few White House staffers flew to Des Moines last night to attend the family visitation. Roth was a long-time political worker who helped run Congressman Greg Ganske’s campaigns.
