A former Webster City leader, state legislator and businessman died over the weekend at age 80. Robert W. Naden died Saturday in Webster City. He served five terms in the Iowa legislature and was House majority leader and later House Speaker in the early 1960s. He also served on the Webster City city council and was elected mayor. Naden served as president of Naden Industries of Webster City, a maker of aluminum boats and electronic scoreboards.
