A Bettendorf businessman is pleading guilty for his part in that McDonald’s Monopoly game scam. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 43-year-old Gary Pincus will plead guilty in a plea agreement to one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud. He’ll also pay up to $359,000 in restitution. Pincus, who is related to the man officials say organized the scam, was accused of fraudulently redeeming a $200,000 McDonald1s game piece in 1997. Authorities say he also recruited others to pose as game winners. Pincus owns Killir Outdoor Sports, a sporting goods store.
