Man shot and killed by West Des Moines police

West Des Moines police shot a man this morning.Details are sketchy, but the man died after being taken to the hospital. Officers were called to a home in the capital city’s western suburb to enforce a no-contact order, and a woman and two children were apparently inside the home at the time. The man barred by the no-contact order may have entered as well, since preliminary reports indicate the shooting took place inside the home. No officers were hurt, and only one shot was fired.
