A northeastern Iowa grade-schooler’s in hot water over a weapons violation. The northland school district plans to take disciplinary action against a third-grader who brought a pocketknife to school with him this week. School officials at Walker Elementary School say the boy showed the knife to a schoolmate on the bus. Nobody was hurt, no threats were made, but school officials took the knife from the boy when he arrived in class. Investigators say he apparently picked up the knife at a friend’s house. No arrests have been made.
