This month is being devoted to celebrating the arts at the University of Northern Iowa, with art on the wall, on the stage and even on dinner plates. U-N-I spokeswoman Vicki Grimes says “Arts in April” events are being held virtually every day this month.In addition to dance, music and dramatic performances, Grimes says U-N-I will recognize the visual art of celestial objects captured on film.Grimes says the Cedar Falls institution will host a variety of artists this month, including a musician who’s best known for songs from the 1960s, but he won’t be giving a vocal performance.Peter Yarrow, of “Peter, Paul and Mary,” is delivering an address that deals with getting rid of with bullies in schools. Grimes says the culinary arts will also be honored this month as the U-N-I catering program shows of the artistry of food preparation.
