A Cedar Falls-based group trains college students to bring light into the lives of thousands of American kids on U-S military bases around the globe. Camp Adventure is headquartered at the University of Northern Iowa.Amber Lippincott, spokeswoman for Camp Adventure, which is holding its annual banquet tonight at U-N-I, says last year, the students worked on military bases and in U-S embassies in 19 countries. She says all sorts of students take part in the program, from all across the U-S.Tonight’s event is expected to gather 12-hundred students and their families from all three of Iowa’s public universities and several colleges. Last year, Camp Adventure served 650-thousand children by providing a positive setting to help them develop individual strengths and a sense of worth.
