Voters in three northern Iowa school districts went to the polls Tuesday. Voters in the Hampton-Dumont School District rejected a ten-point-three million-dollar bond issue yesterday that would’ve paid for a new middle school and added classrooms at an elementary school. They also rejected a second plan to raise taxes. Another plan for six-point-four million in bonds passed in the West Hancock School District, in part, to build a new elementary school in Britt. Also, the “CAL” School District physical plant and equipment levy passed as voters agreed to raise their property taxes for building maintenance.
