Two Forest City High School students are going to the Prom tonight dressed in formal clothes — made entirely of duct tape. Jill Brockhohn says a duct tape maker is offering 25-hundred dollar scholarships to students who use the durable adhesive as their primary attire for the big dance. Brockhohn says they used 800 feet of black, red and white duct tape to create their coordinating looks. She and her date, Jordon Plagge spent about 200 dollars just on duct tape and she says her dress and his tux aren’t very flexible, especially to sit down. While the duct-tape dress isn’t very comfortable, Brockhohn says it looks like leather from a distance and is, in her word, awesome. While the 200-dollars for duct tape sounds expensive, she says they probably would’ve spent 300 on traditional clothes.
