A 16-year-old Blue Grass girl has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughterand possession of marijuana in connection with a car crash that killed herfriend. Carrie Hill was driving on a two-lane road in rural Davenport on New Year’s Eve when her car veered into a ditch and hit a concrete culvert. The wreck killed a passenger, 15-year-old JoLee Cox of Davenport. Authorities say both girls had marijuana in their systems. Police also found marijuana pipes and bags of marijuana in Hill’s car. Hill has been sentenced to probation, substance-abuse counseling and 200 hours of community service. She is required to speak to young people about drug abuse for at least 50 of those hours.
