The Iowa Conference baseball tournament opens this afternoon in Waterloo. Buena Vista is the top seed in the field and will open against sixth-seeded Central. B-V coach Steve Eddy says they cannot get caught looking ahead. He says anyone can win the tournament, so you don’t want to lose the first game and be on the brink of elimination.Eddy says Central’s pitching will provide a tough opener. He says Central will stay close in every game they play because of that pitching staff.Also this afternoon second seeded Upper Iowa plays fifth-seeded Cornell.
