Did the process of preparing your taxes make you think you might be able to improve the way the Internal Revenue Service operates? There’s a way you can try out your ideas. I-R-S spokeswoman Donna Migazzi says they’re looking to replace the old citizen advocacy panel that featured representatives from Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin. The new group is called the “Taxpayer Advocacy Panel.”The new panel would feature one person from every state. Migazzi says you don’t have to be an accountant to be chosen for the panel, just an interest in helping the I-R-S do a better job.Migazzi says you can apply to be on the panel on-line at www.improveirs.org, or by calling 866-602-2223.
