Woodbine school officials have made a decision on whether to fight a judge’s ruling that bans the high school’s choir from singing the Lord’s Prayer at upcoming graduation ceremonies. Sioux City attorney Brian Yung is representing Woodbine. He says the school will not appeal and Yung says there are good reasons behind the decision.School officials say pursuing an expensive appeal would use district resources unwisely. Two sophomores in the choir, both atheists, objected to being made to sing the Lord’s Prayer. A judge ruled the prayer cannot be sung as long as the two are still students at the school.
