A 36-year-old man was burned on his hands, face and arms Friday night in an apparent gas explosion at a campground near Manchester. Authorities say the man was likely lighting a gas stove or a furnace inside a camper when the blast happened, sparking a fire. The man was taken to a Manchester hospital, then taken to University Hospitals in Iowa City. His name has not been released.
