A LeMars man escaped serious injury when his light plane flipped on its top as he attempted to land in a farm field north of LeMars on Sunday afternoon. Plymouth County Sheriff’s investigators say Don Bouma was the pilot of the two-seater aircraft and he was not carrying a passenger.
